Reiki is an energy healing technique in which the therapist uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what's known in Reiki as life force energy) through the client's body.
Reiki is meant to resolve emotional distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body, which results in relaxation and reduced pain and tension throughout the body. It also help reduce stress and anxiety, which can decrease pain perception as well.
